Inspired by the Vogue video series 7 Days, 7 Looks, I’ll be sharing what I wear in a week for different occasions.
Monday: Admin Day
I like to start my week by getting my most important tasks done. Therefore, I want to look prepared yet super comfortable. I chose my white Paige denim jeans with a navy blue wool sweater from & Other Stories. I love over sized coats, and there’s no other coat that’s says I’m more prepared than a trench coat. Lastly, to finish off this look I chose a pair of Chelsea boots, a forest green tote bag for all that I need, and a warm stylish scarf.
Tuesday: Lunch with Sukhman
Lunch with your bestie is always a nice way to spend an afternoon. I love textures and pearls, and this look is just that! I chose a wool shirt that gives off a Jaquemus feel, which gives this outfit a touch of elegance. I kept it neutral by pairing it with white wide leg jeans. To finish it off I put my ankle strap suede heels, added my pearl basket bag, and a pink silk scarf. Off to lunch!
Wednesday: Study Session
When spending the day studying at the library, comfort is key. This outfit is one I can simply throw on without thinking too much about it, and still look put together. I went for a ribbed roll neck, and a wool sweater for extra layering for when it can get a little chilly indoors. Then I went for a pair of comfy blue jeans, pink ballet slippers, and a book tote. It’s an effortlessly chic outfit.
I am the type of person whom really can’t fuss over their outfit especially when shopping. So I opted for a full monochrome look in white. It’s airy with both the blouse and flowy trousers, and I can trust that at the end of the day I’ll still look fresh and put together. To add to the monochrome outfit, I added a touch of color with the Chanel boy bag and candy pink Jimmy Choo mules that are both glamorous and wearable. And viola! We have an ensemble that is even perfect for an afternoon stroll in St. Tropez.
Friday: Weekend Getaway
I adore a co-ord set for their versatility. This cozy set can be worn both for lounging and for travel. It’s soft and plush material are a perfect way to stay comfortable on a flight without having to wear athleisure clothes. Lastly, I threw on a camel coat over my shoulders for extra warmth, slipped on a pair of classic white sneakers, and grabbed my luggage. Bon Voyage!
Saturday: Self-Care Day
A day I much look forward to is a day I can spend some quality time with myself. Even though I am most likely at home doing whatever is that I please, I still like to feel ready for the day. An easy way to do this is investing in some good quality loungewear you can wear all the time. Here I chose my maroon lounge pants and my absolutely favorite sweater from Stay Home Cub! The amount of compliments I receive every time I wear this sweater is countless. Now all I need is a cup of matcha tea and a movie or good book.
Sunday: Recite Banis (prayers)
I enjoy praying every morning and not just on Sunday’s. Praying helps me stay grounded and focused on achieving a higher state of mind. As I am a Sikh, our Guru gave us beautiful garments to wear when we visit our place of worship, the Gurudwara. I love dressing in my traditional wear but I also love taking pieces from western shops like Zara and creating my own looks that still look traditional. So I took a blue velvet kimono from Zara and palazzo pants, and matched it with a pink silk scarf for a delightful contrast.
Hope you all enjoyed what I wear in a week!
